Why We Are Founding Members of NO MORE’s Corporate Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence… and Why More Companies Should Join Us

We’re excited to invite allies and activists to share their perspectives on our blog.

This guest blog is written by Dr. Tasha Menaker, Head of Trust and Safety Partnerships at Match Group.

Everyone deserves to build relationships rooted in safety and respect. Domestic and sexual violence affects people and communities around the world, and businesses have a role to play in supporting prevention, raising awareness, and helping people access resources.

At Match Group, home to Tinder and Hinge, helping people connect safely is central to our work. That commitment includes working with experts to shape our approach to Trust and Safety and help users access relevant resources and support.

We collaborate with civil society organizations, academics, and survivors around the world to inform our policies and safety features, develop user education, train our teams, and bring regional and cultural expertise to our work. These partnerships help us address issues including gender-based violence, scams, trafficking, accessibility, and inclusion, with an approach grounded in survivor perspectives and the needs of our global community. Our Match Group Advisory Council, established in 2018, brings leading NGO experts together regularly to help shape our policies, products, and user education.

Last year, we were proud to join the NFL, Uber, and the Vodafone Americas Foundation in serving as founding members of NO MORE’s Corporate Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. Joining the Network builds on our existing work and creates an opportunity to collaborate with businesses and experts toward a shared goal: safer relationships and stronger support for those affected.

Why the Corporate Network Matters

For too long, domestic and sexual violence have been seen as private matters, rather than public issues that demand collective action. In reality, these forms of violence affect every sector, every company, and every corner of society.

Survivors are our colleagues, friends, and family members, and supporting them is a responsibility that extends into our workplaces and communities.

The private sector has a unique role to play in both responding to and preventing all forms of domestic and sexual abuse. Through our policies, platforms, technology, and global reach, we can help shift norms, create safe environments, support survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, join the public sector to champion better global policies, and invest in effective community education and prevention programs. The Corporate Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence provides a forum for companies to learn from one another and from experts. By sharing practical approaches and resources, members can strengthen their individual efforts and identify opportunities to work together.

The Role of the Corporate Network

As a Corporate Network of employers from a wide range of industries, with unique products and services, and diverse audiences, we each bring different capabilities and perspectives. Some may focus on supporting employees, while others may engage customers and the wider community. Member companies can take action in areas such as:

Supporting Employees: Reviewing and strengthening internal policies to support employees who may be experiencing domestic or sexual violence, including paid leave, flexible work arrangements, and access to confidential support services.

Building survivor-centered tools: Investing in technology that helps users and employees feel safe, whether that’s in-app safety features, reporting tools, or AI to detect harmful behavior.

Training and education: Helping leaders, managers, and customer support teams recognize concerns and respond with care, respect, and appropriate resources.

Raising awareness: Sharing information that helps people recognize harmful behavior, understand their options, and build respectful relationships.

Working with experts and community organizations: Supporting prevention initiatives and survivor services, and contributing to informed policy discussions.

NO MORE offers member companies a free resource hub and regular opportunities to exchange information, research, and practical guidance. Members can also participate in awareness campaigns and prevention initiatives, helping them turn their commitments into concrete action.

An Invitation to Join

Addressing domestic and sexual violence requires sustained collaboration. Businesses can make a meaningful contribution by supporting employees, listening to experts, and considering how their products and services can help advance safety.

We invite companies across industries to consider joining NO MORE’s Corporate Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. Membership is free, and companies of every size can find ways to contribute that reflect their capabilities and the needs of the people they serve.

At Match Group, we look forward to continuing this work with NO MORE and our fellow members to promote safer relationships, build supportive workplaces, and expand access to help.
