August Newsletter: Prevention in Action

Prevention works best when it meets people where they are. This month, we’re proud to continue our work to end domestic and sexual violence by reaching communities on campus, at work, and in sport. Here’s what we’ve been building and how you can be part of it.

For starters, here’s a simple way you can help… forward this newsletter to 2 friends and encourage them to sign up here

The Red Zone Starts Now — Protect Yourself and Your Friends/Family Members

As students head back to campus this fall, we’re raising awareness of the Red Zone: the stretch of the first semester when students are most vulnerable to sexual assault. Several studies show that more than 50% of campus sexual violence takes place between August and November. We’re committed to equipping individuals and communities with the tools and resources they need to drive change. Our Building Safer Campuses guide is a comprehensive resource designed to help students and campus communities prevent and respond to sexual violence and dating abuse on campus.

Save Your Spot: The Global Business Summit is Happening November 3rd

On Tuesday, November 3rd, we’re partnering with the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse to deliver the first global summit dedicated to taking action to end domestic abuse in the workplace. Designed for professionals in HR, People, Wellbeing, Trust & Safety, and beyond, this day-long virtual event is a space to learn what’s working and to connect with advocates, experts, and leaders creating safer, more supportive workplaces for all.

The Summit is free to join, so don’t wait to register!

Driving Change Through Sport

This month, we were proud to expand our work using the platform of sport to raise awareness and prevent gender-based violence, as we launched a new partnership with the World Karate Federation. Together, we’ll reach new audiences and widen access to prevention resources and campaigns across the sport.

We’re also delighted to continue our partnership with Confut, and are looking forward to joining the Women’s International Football Summit in Brazil in just a few weeks.

Run for Team NO MORE

We’re proud to offer places in some of the world’s most iconic races, and excited to share that Team NO MORE is now recruiting for spots in the 2027 London Marathon, a World Major event in one of the world’s most exciting cities. If you’d rather run closer to home, we also hold spaces in races around the world through our partnership with Realbuzz.

Every runner helps raise vital funds to support our prevention work and increase awareness of domestic and sexual violence. If you’re looking to make a difference, we’d love to welcome you to the team!
