January Newsletter: A New Year of Action and Awareness
At the start of a new year, we’re reminded that every step forward brings us closer to a world free from abuse. From expanding our global network and building new partnerships to preparing for NO MORE Week 2026, we’re proud of the steps our global community is taking together.
This month also marks both National Stalking Awareness Month and National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, two powerful reminders of the important work that still remains. As we renew our commitment and move forward into 2026, we remain dedicated to raising awareness, sharing resources, and empowering individuals and organizations to take action in their communities.
Here’s more on what we’ve been up to this month, and what’s ahead:
Get Ready for NO MORE Week 2026
With just over one month to go, we’re looking ahead to NO MORE Week 2026, a global call to action from March 2nd–8th to stand together against domestic and sexual violence. Every year, millions of people worldwide are affected by abuse. By getting involved during NO MORE Week, you can help raise awareness, support survivors, and foster connection in your community.

Here’s how you can take part:
- Raise awareness and educate by sharing resources and information to help others recognize signs of abuse and learn how to support those in need.
- Take on the NO MORE Week Challenge and complete a virtual 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon walk or run from anywhere in the world. Every step is an opportunity to raise awareness and fundraise for more resources for survivors and prevention initiatives. Registration is free, so don’t wait to sign up!
- Organize an event to raise awareness in your community, campus, or workplace. Whether in person or online, you can help expand a global network of allies committed to ending abuse. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #NOMOREWeek so we can help amplify your efforts!

Expanding Our Global Network
This month, we were thrilled to welcome Daniela Marques Grelin as the Executive Director of Brazil Says NO MORE, our soon-to-be-launched chapter. Daniela brings a wealth of leadership experience from her work with the UN Global Compact Network Brazil, Avon Institute, and Natura Institute, where she led groundbreaking initiatives to prevent gender-based violence.

Brazil Says NO MORE represents an exciting new addition to our chapter program, and we can’t wait to share more details about the efforts they’ll be spearheading in the months ahead.
Celebrating Impactful Leadership
We’re proud to share that our CEO Pamela Zaballa and LatAm Regional Manager Mireya Rubio have been appointed Ambassadors of the Decade of Rural Women, an initiative led by the Red de Mujeres Rurales de Latinoaméria y el Caribe. Their new roles reflect their leadership in advancing equality, ending gender-based violence across borders, and uplifting women in all communities.
