Why CERRET and NO MORE Chose to Partner: Turning Awareness Into Action

We’re excited to invite allies and activists to share their perspectives on our blog. This guest blog is written by our partners at CERRET.

Ending domestic and sexual violence requires practical ways for people to be safer and get help when it matters most. This shared belief is what brought CERRET and NO MORE together.

The partnership includes the co-development of a co-branded CERRET safety bracelet featuring the NO MORE branding, alongside NO MORE training content available inside the CERRET app.

NO MORE has long worked to end domestic and sexual violence through education, advocacy, and cultural change. CERRET focuses on how technology can support personal safety in everyday life. Together, the partnership aims to connect awareness with action, helping people move from understanding the issue to responding safely and confidently.

From Awareness to Practical Support

Public conversations about domestic and sexual violence have grown in recent years. More people recognize the issue and understand its impact. Yet many still feel unsure about what to do in real situations, whether they are experiencing abuse themselves or witnessing warning signs in others.

Awareness explains why the issue matters. Action determines whether someone is supported in the moment.

This is where the CERRET plays a role. Designed to be discreet and easy to use, the app allows users to signal distress, alert trusted contacts, and access support pathways when they feel unsafe.

Shared Values, Different Strengths

NO MORE focuses on changing culture: challenging harmful norms, amplifying survivor voices, and helping people recognise abuse in all its forms. CERRET focuses on translating safety into something tangible, supporting moments when speaking up, calling for help, or explaining a situation may not feel possible.

The partnership is built on the understanding that prevention works best when education and practical tools go hand in hand. Cultural change creates awareness, while accessible tools help turn that awareness into responsible action.

Centering Survivors and Choice

Survivors’ experiences are not the same. Barriers to seeking help vary widely depending on personal circumstances, resources, and safety concerns. This collaboration respects that reality.

Both CERRET and NO MORE prioritize survivor autonomy. The goal is not to tell people what to do, but to support choice, whether that means reaching out for help, taking time to process, or finding safer ways to navigate difficult situations.

Supporting Bystanders

Bystanders, friends, coworkers, teammates, and community members, often notice warning signs before situations escalate. Yet many hesitate to act, unsure how to help without causing harm.

NO MORE has long emphasized bystander engagement as a key prevention strategy. CERRET supports this by making action more accessible, helping people check in, offer support, or assist someone in reaching help discreetly.

Looking Ahead

CERRET and NO MORE partnered because prevention must be practical, inclusive, and part of everyday life. Ending domestic and sexual violence requires education, empathy, and tools that support people when they need them most.

By combining advocacy with technology and awareness with action, this partnership aims to help create environments where people are not only informed but supported in taking the next step toward safety.
