Taking Your Challenge to the Next Level
So you’ve signed up for the NO MORE Week Challenge (or you’re thinking about joining). How can you make every step count?
With a few simple actions, you can raise more awareness, inspire more donations, and help say “NO MORE” to domestic and sexual violence worldwide.
Here are some ideas to help you take your Challenge to the next level:
Share Your “Why”
Are you running or walking in honor of someone? Do you work with or support survivors through your job or volunteering? Are you driven by the belief that everyone deserves to live free from abuse? When friends, family, and colleagues understand why you’ve joined the NO MORE Week Challenge, they’re far more likely to give their support.
Post on Social Media
Social media can be a powerful tool in awareness-raising and fundraising. In the lead-up to NO MORE Week, be sure to:
- Post one of our ready-for-use Challenge graphics when you sign up to let people know you’re participating
- Share simple calls to action like, “Donate what you’d spend on a coffee today to help end domestic and sexual violence”
- Add your fundraising link to your social media bios and pin a post or tweet so it’s always easy to find
And don’t forget to send personal messages to your family and friends!
Put the “Fun” in Fundraising
Your walk or run doesn’t have to be a solo effort. You can engage your community by:
- Hosting a trivia night, virtual bingo game, or dinner party and asking guests to donate to your fundraising page
- Organizing a small group walk or run with colleagues, your run club, or friends and inviting everyone to donate or set up their own page as part of a team
- Inviting your donors to pick a song for your running playlist or vote on your route
Small touches like these help donors feel part of your journey and engage more people in efforts to end domestic and sexual violence.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
If you haven’t registered yet, now is the perfect time to join the NO MORE Week Challenge. And if you’re already in, take one small action today to boost your fundraising.
