December Newsletter: Reflecting on a Year of Impact and Collective Action

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year defined by powerful partnerships, survivor-centered innovation, and collective action to end domestic and sexual violence. From launching the new Corporate Network Against Domestic & Sexual Violence, to hosting the inaugural Global Summit on Economic Abuse, to uniting voices worldwide on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, this year has shown that we truly are stronger together.

The recent news coverage surrounding the Epstein files has been a painful reminder of how often sexual abuse and exploitation are enabled by systems of power and how public discourse surrounding survivor experiences can further perpetuate harm. At NO MORE, this moment reinforces our commitment to building a world where survivor experiences are heard and believed, and where we stop violence before it starts.

As we look ahead to a new year, we remain committed to working alongside survivors, advocates, and partners to drive meaningful, long-term change and effective prevention strategies.

Taking Action Against Gender-Based Violence During the 16 Days of Activism

Throughout the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we highlighted the incredible survivors, service providers, advocates, and allies who joined us for the EVAW Day (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) Global Livestream

We also continued to raise awareness of and donations for the EVAW Day Relief Fund, an effort to provide grants to other nonprofit organizations that have been severely challenged by funding cuts this past year. These nonprofits provide vital support services to abuse victims/survivors, including crisis intervention, safe shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and more. It is imperative that they continue to keep their doors open so that victims/survivors have a place to turn for help when they need it most.

If you are able, please make a year-end gift to the Relief Fund to help sustain these critical services into 2026 and beyond.

Supporting Survivors Throughout the Holiday Season

For many victims/survivors, the holidays can bring increased isolation, financial stress, and conflict. In order to help someone you suspect is in need, it’s important to learn to recognize the signs of abuse. You might notice a friend or family member who seems like they’re being constantly criticized, monitored in all their actions, or controlled in what they can spend and/or who they can see. If something feels off, check in, listen without judgment if they’re willing to share, respect their choices, and offer to help them find support through the NO MORE Global Directory

Looking Ahead to NO MORE Week 2026

NO MORE Week 2026 is just around the corner, taking place March 2nd–8th, and we are excited to build on the momentum of this past year with another impactful week of awareness and activism. Mark your calendars now and stay tuned for more information on how you can participate, whether by hosting an event, engaging your workplace or community, or sharing digital content to help say “NO MORE” to abuse.

Reminder: Get Support From Bright Sky and the NO MORE Global Directory

If you or someone you know has experienced domestic or sexual violence, help is available. You can find information and resources through the Bright Sky app in the U.S. and connect to support services in 200 countries/territories through the NO MORE Global Directory.

Help Make a Difference

As noted above, please support the EVAW Day Relief Fund so we can help other nonprofits keep their doors open to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Every donation, large or small, will help enable organizations to continue to provide shelter, legal aid, mental health counseling and other lifesaving services. Thank you!

Thanks for another incredible year. We can’t wait to see what we accomplish together in 2026.
