NO MORE x The Girlfriends: Jailhouse Lawyer

We’re proud to join The Girlfriends podcast in shining a light on the intersection of domestic violence, the justice system, and survivor resilience in their third season.
Season Synopsis: The Girlfriends: Jailhouse Lawyer
On July 7th, 2010, Kelly Harnett says her abusive boyfriend murdered a man right in front of her. She says she was powerless to stop it — and feared for her own life.
So how did Kelly end up in prison for over a decade, charged with murder?
The chart-topping true crime series The Girlfriends returns with a gripping new season: Jailhouse Lawyer. Over eight episodes, award-winning journalist and host Anna Sinfield unpacks Kelly’s turbulent life — from childhood trauma and violent relationships to addiction and survival — as she fights to reclaim her freedom and her voice.
Inside prison, Kelly became a self-taught jailhouse lawyer, using her knowledge to advocate not only for herself, but for countless other women behind bars, many of whom are survivors of domestic violence whose stories have been misunderstood or erased.
This season asks: What happens when a victim becomes a villain in the eyes of the law? And when survival itself becomes a crime?
Listen from July 14th, with new episodes every Monday.
